The To-Do List
Keep one comprehensive to-do list. We already covered this under the Get Focused section but it bears repeating when it comes to organizing.
While it’s easy to jot down things you have to do on anything that is handy, it is critical to keep one comprehensive list. If you don’t follow this very important step you will double and triple book yourself and forget about important things you need to do.
There are many different systems you can use for this. Planners such as those sold by Franklin-Covey are good, especially for those who like the old fashioned paper way. There are also programs available for your computer and lots of apps that are available for your blackberry or iPhone. Just keeping a tablet with a written list works just fine. Just find a method that is easy for you, because if it is too complicated, or if it’s not with you all the time, you won’t keep up with it.
